Art Care & Stewardship
A Forged by Fire Art Guide
Every piece created by Forged by Fire Art is intended to live a long life, one shaped by care, intention, and respect for the materials it’s made from. What you’ve acquired is not only artwork, but a physical object that will age, settle, and respond to its environment over time.
The guidance below ensures your piece remains as it was meant to be experienced.
Placement & Environment
-
Avoid direct sunlight.
Prolonged exposure to direct UV light may cause gradual fading or surface changes over time. -
Choose a stable environment.
Ideal conditions are dry, temperate spaces away from excessive heat, humidity, or rapid temperature changes. -
Avoid proximity to heat sources.
Fireplaces, radiators, HVAC vents, or prolonged exposure to high heat can compromise materials.
Art prefers stillness. Consistency matters more than perfection.
Handling & Installation
-
Always handle artwork with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves when possible.
-
Avoid touching the surface of the artwork directly.
-
All masterworks and original works arrive ready to hang, fitted with professional hanging hardware.
If you are uncertain about wall type, weight load, or placement height, professional installation is recommended.
Cleaning & Maintenance
-
Dust lightly with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
-
Do not use water, cleaning sprays, solvents, or abrasive materials.
-
Never attempt to clean the surface with pressure or chemicals.
If your piece requires attention beyond light dusting, please contact us before attempting any intervention.

All works are intentionally delivered unframed to allow collectors to choose a presentation that suits their space.

Lighting Considerations
