Until March 2026

All orders ship from the United States, unless otherwise noted on the product page.

After March 2026

Most original paintings and hand-embellished works will ship from the United Kingdom.

What this means for you:

  • US customers: Duties and tax treatment may differ before and after March 2026, depending on whether your piece is shipping from the US or the UK.

  • UK/EU customers: VAT/import rules may change once our main studio is UK-based and more works originate from the UK.

Any changes to our shipping origin or customs handling will be reflected on this page and/or on individual product descriptions.

Production & Processing Times

Art Prints

  • Please allow 1–5 business days for production before your prints ship.

  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order details.

Original Art

  • Original artwork ships within 5 business days after packaging and processing.

Hand-Finished / Hand-Embellished Art

  • Hand-finished / hand-embellished works are made to order.

  • Please allow 7–14 business days for processing and embellishment before shipment.

  • During busy periods or high order volume, processing times may be longer.

I am a one-person studio, and all pieces (except existing originals) are made to order. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not considered business days.

If you place an order on Friday after 4:00 pm CST, original art will typically ship on Monday morning. Print production begins immediately (except on holidays).

Delivery Estimates

These are general delivery windows after your order has shipped:

  • US, UK, most EU countries, and Canada:
    Estimated delivery within 7–21 business days.

  • All other countries:
    Please allow additional time due to customs processing and international transit.

All orders include a tracking number. If you have not received a tracking email within a reasonable time after ordering, please contact us.

Keep in mind that holidays in your home country, local courier delays, and customs inspections can extend delivery times.

Insurance & Signature on Delivery

  • All hand-embellished art and original art are shipped with insurance and require a signature upon delivery.

  • Please make sure someone is available at the delivery address to sign for the package.

If you miss the delivery window, please contact the shipping provider listed on your tracking page to reschedule.

International Taxes, Duties & Customs

All international orders (outside of our shipping origin country) are subject to import duties, VAT, and customs fees.

At checkout, our system will calculate an estimated amount for these fees based on your shipping address and the contents of your order.

  • In most cases, this estimate is accurate and covers all import costs, so you will not be charged anything additional on delivery.

  • On rare occasions, your local customs office may reassess the shipment and charge more than the amount collected at checkout.

In those rare cases:

  • Forged by Fire Art will usually cover the additional customs charges, so you are not billed again.

  • If there is an unusually large or unexpected difference, we may contact you to discuss options before your order is released from customs or dispatched.

Please note:

  • Import rules, thresholds, and handling fees are set by your local government and carrier.

  • These may change without notice and are outside our control, but we do our best to calculate and pre-pay accurately on your behalf.

  • Customs Delays & Held Shipments

Once your order arrives in your country, it is processed by your local customs authority and delivery carrier.

If your tracking shows that your package is “held at customs” or stuck in processing:

1. Contact the carrier first

  • Use the tracking number and contact the carrier listed on your tracking page (e.g. DHL, UPS, etc.).

  • They may require additional information, ID, or payment of local handling fees

If customs or the carrier requests extra documentation

For example: an invoice, proof of value, or description of the artwork. Please email us at barnesforgedbyfire@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number, and any message or notice you received from customs or the carrier.

We will provide any documentation they need as quickly as possible.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Customs inspections

  • Local holidays

  • Courier backlogs or operational issues

…But we will always do our best to support you and help move your shipment along.
