About The Artist & Studio

Forged by Fire exists in the space most people are taught to rush past—the middle. The place where becoming is unfinished, where surrender is resisted, negotiated, and delayed. Where doubt and faith, grief and longing, coexist without resolution.

This is not a teaching space.
It is a witness.

Forged by Fire is a language created for those who are still bleeding, not healed. A record of transformation in motion, not a testimony polished at the end. Healing is not linear. Neither is faith. Neither is becoming.

Founded by artist Ty Barnes, Forged by Fire Art is born from the belief that beauty is not made in comfort, but in the fire. The work explores the sacred tension between destruction and rebirth: the hammer and the anvil, the flame and the hand that shapes. Each piece carries the mark of pressure, time, and intention—echoing the blacksmith’s forge, where force is not meant to destroy, but refine.

This is not art that looks away from pain.
It does not sanitize grief or soften the cost of being human.

It holds profanity alongside reverence.
Sex, identity, doubt, rage, and tenderness.
The barbaric act of being made of flesh.
The quiet insistence of breath.

Forged by Fire is for those who have suffered, endured, and are still becoming. For those who know that loss is not the end of meaning, and that transformation often arrives without explanation. You do not need to be fully healed to belong here. You only need to be human.

For those still burning.

For those who haven’t yet arrived.

 For those who are becoming.

~For those still in the fire.
